As Digital Editor at TOPSHOP, you will be working to ensure we are first in capturing the emerging trends, and translating these into innovative digital content our customers will love and believe in.

The Job

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing all editorial & copy content and brand story messaging across all sites and platforms (homepage, email, social, blog)
  • Developing a content strategy and strategically planning editorial to ensure all key brand messages are covered. Working closely with the Digital Trading team to ensure messages are accessible, hardhitting, and commercially focused with a strong story, driving sales and conversion across all platforms
  • Maintaining good communication with Buying & Merchandising, Marketing and PR teams to ensure all brand messages are covered in the digital environment
  • Working closely with senior management and production teams to maintain a content plan & produce copy for regular site activity
  • Working with the TOPMAN Digital Editor to ensure consistency across brands
  • Making critical business decisions based on commerciality and efficiency
  • Briefing all projects, ensuring time is allowed for design and production
  • Reviewing performance of editorial content and product focus, working with the analytics team to drive future activity
  • Considering international variations and territory specific relevance
  • Proactive with driving own development
  • Enjoys working in a fast paced, high-energy environment
  • Managing an editorial team (Junior Editor and , Editorial Assistant, and 2 translators)
  • Ability to drive results through effective team and individual performance, setting clear goals and managing accountability. Recognising and encouraging outstanding performance and managing poor performance effectively
