THE OPPORTUNITY

Job Title: Finance Assistant

Salary: £15-17k pa

Location: Leeds - Accounting Centre

A BIT ABOUT

The  team supports Shared Services in the production of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations. The team has strong relationships with the London Finance and works closely with all departments across the Accounting Centre to ensure accurate and timely information is provided to the brands decision makers.

THE ROLE

Assist in the production of the monthly Management Accounts, including the calculation of relevant accruals and prepayments

Responsible for the monitoring of and accurate reclassification of central costs

Assisting in the yearly planning cycles

Providing further analysis of central costs to support reviews in both Leeds and London

Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations in line with policy, in particular accruals and prepayments

Ensure all information and documentation is prepared and processed in accordance with specific policies and procedures, and to required deadlines

Supporting other members of the team as required

MUST HAVES

Disciplined and process orientated with good attention to detail and an eye on quality of output

Ability to perform basic reconciliationsHave an organised and structured manner with ability to prioritise and schedule workload in order to meet deadlines

Strong, effective communication skills (verbal & written) with a confident and articulate manner

Good knowledge of excel - able to use basic formula’s within daily tasks to manipulate data

Flexible and willing to support other team members
