Operating at the heart of our business, Shared Services offer efficiencies to all of our Brands by providing centralised resources and competitive synergies for the Group. The Shared Services Teams work across all Brands and are responsible for a huge range of activities from delivering product to over 40 countries worldwide, to achieving award winning store designs and handling 100,000 Customer Care calls each year. Within Shared Services there are over 1,000 employees working across 16 distinctive departments including International, IT, Finance, HR, Logistics, PR, Property, Digital and Sourcing.
Based in London, with field staff across the UK, the Loss Prevention department provide a loss prevention service to the Group. They support the overall operational environment and focus on shrinkage, fraud, security, and critical business controls. This includes managing the costs associated with all loss prevention and security equipment.
Day to Day:
To provide an effective & efficient analytical and reporting service to the business, specifically in relation to Stock loss, Cash loss and incident reporting.
To promote and develop profit protection awareness at all levels of the business
Identify and report on financial losses related to both internal and external areas through data mining and exception reporting, primarily focused on the retail sector but to include e-commerce, International, Head Office and DC operations
Identify Profit and loss risks and recommendations to all levels of the business, whilst actively seeking feedback and seizing opportunities to learn and develop
Effectively support shrinkage reduction initiatives throughout the business
Identify issues of internal theft and review procedures to support in putting programs in place to prevent/reduce repeat occurrences
The confidence to challenge current policies and procedures and implement recommendations to protect the business
To support, the Loss Prevention team in all areas of data management to drive awareness and deliver best practice across the business
Monitor, analyse and react in a timely manner to all Loss Prevention incidents within the business.
Undertake administrative duties for the wider LP team as and when required
Centrally manage the Organised Retail Crime function across all brands, working closely with the Loss Prevention, retail teams to raise awareness and link cases.
Liaise with external agencies on Loss Prevention related issues, including NBCS/RACS/RCI
The role will require some travel across the UK and Ireland and occasional overnight stays as per business requirements
Strong analytical, statistical and numeracy skills with attention to detail and acute observation and listening skills. Comfortable interpreting the numbers and actively using data to make commercial decisions
The ability to support both internal and external investigations to a successful and professional conclusion
Works collaboratively with their teams and peers to drive results
Strong planning and organisational skills and retains focus whilst demonstrating high levels of drive, energy and stamina
The ability to be able to influence and obtain commitment from others and to build consistently productive relationships across other functions/departments
Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
Flexible approach with the willingness to travel and stay away from home at short notice when required
Able to work on their own initiative with discretion and professionalism and to maintain confidentiality at all times
Demonstrates strong leadership skills and evokes passion and commitment from others
Professionalism, able to challenge and listen
Determined and able to stay positive under pressure
Has extensive knowledge of data mining systems (Intelli Q, Sys Republic, Comsec)
Has good understanding of IPOS systems (Bean Store) & CCTV system applications
Minimum 5 years Loss Prevention experience
WZ (or equivalent) interviewer trained
Has extensive knowledge of Microsoft Access and SQL
