The Job

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Global Senior Press Officer to join our dynamic Marketing and PR team to develop and promote Topshop and Topman in line with the PR strategies in order to maximize awareness through multi-channels across all target media. To ensure Topshop and Topman’s brand positioning and messaging is consistent and remains elevated on a global scale.

Must Haves

  • Day-to-day press contact – on a global scale
  • Establish and strengthen close relationships with all relevant publications (in particular fashion and lifestyle titles) and digital communities
  • Develop close relationships with all internal stakeholders and project manage brand projects and launches
  • Conceptualise and execute press events
  • Proactively pitch and secure brand features and campaign placements in key target media
  • Demonstrate innovative ideas which support business growth
  • Provide clear campaign briefings to international PR Agencies and franchise Marketing/PR teams
  • Devise copy for press releases, brand manuals, spokesperson responses and business statements
  • Monitor global media on a day-to-day basis and communicate successes to the business
  • Oversee coverage and event reports with Global PR Coordinator
  • Proactive with driving own development
  • Work with and develop the skills of the PR Assistants and ensuring the smooth-running of the press office and sample room
  • Ability to drive strong results through effective team and individual performance, setting clear goals and managing accountability. Recognising and encouraging outstanding performance and managing poor performance effectively
What you'll bring to the role:
  • Proven PR background, ideally within fashion/retailing
  • Passion for the Topshop and Topman brands
  • A solutions-focused and resilient working style
  • The ability to shift focus to business priorities as needed and excited by change
  • Experience in setting clear departmental targets and goals
  • Experience in press release development/writing
  • Self-motivation and ability to proactively seek PR opportunities
  • Strong time management and budgeting skills
  • Experience in communicating with Senior Management
