Design

It all begins with our in house Design team. They’re fanatical about creating beautiful on trend clothes, cut to flatter, ensuring all body shapes look amazing. They identify the latest trends and translate these into wearable fashion for our customers, working closely with our Buying team to ensure they have access to the season’s key items.


Garment Tech

As shape and fit are one of Evans unique selling points, our Garment Tech department is key in our business. Our Technologists work closely with our Designers, Buyers and external suppliers at all stages of product development to ensure garments meet our high quality specifications and legal standards. Their key responsibilities include fitting the garments, testing fabrics, ensuring the quality performance of our suppliers and evaluating the factories where our product is produced. Our Technologists play a crucial role in our Arcadia Fashion Footprint and ethical trading initiatives.

Merchandising

Our Merchandising team plan the delivery of our product ranges all the way from the manufacturer to the sales floor. With an eye for spotting sales opportunities, they highlight new ways to increase sales and drive profit. They make decisions as to which stores a product should be sold in and whether a product is restocked. Some people think that it’s just about working with spreadsheets, but it’s about understanding what the numbers are telling you and then forecasting accordingly.

 

As part of our Merchandising team, we have our Planning, Logistics and Branch Merchandising people. Their work is fast paced as they focus on planning what product should be sold in store and in turn work hard to get this from the suppliers to the distribution centre and then on to the stores – so being super organised and a great communicator is key.

We always love to hear from established Merchandisers that want to join our team but we equally want to be able to support people on their Merchandising journey or who may be thinking of a Merchandising career.

International

Trading in over 60 stores across the Middle East and Europe, and via wholesale in Russia, Germany and South Africa, our dedicated International Department ensure outlets receive special care and expertise. The team help the Franchise Partners drive their business and ensure the stores are receiving the right Evans product for their demographic and our wholesale specialists ensure specific orders from external partners are met.

This is an exciting team to be part of as we have new markets opening all the time and excellent growth in this area.

Retail Operations

Our Head Office team work closely with our Area Managers to support the stores and focus on the improvement and development of store systems. They manage the communication and workload for the stores to make sure they run smoothly and efficiently to help our sales teams offer the most enjoyable shopping experience for the customer.

Digital

Digital is an area where Evans has seen significant growth and broadly speaking our Digital teams are responsible for delivering an inspiring and enjoyable shopping experience online which reflects the look and feel of the Evans brand and our stores. The Digital Team ensures our online product is merchandised effectively, they create and manage website content and use their expertise to generate revenue and leads through our online marketing channels.

 

Our Digital Marketing team plan how we’re going to engage with our customers throughout the year, communicating the brand messages to customers through a wide range of channels such as press/media, stores, direct marketing, online, promotions and market research.

Finance

Working in Finance at Evans is not just about number crunching; the team also play a vital role in the commercial management of our business. Our Finance Team bring budgets, forecasts and trading reports together for Group consolidation as well as having responsibility for all the accounting processes, including payroll, for Evans. They constantly analyse, monitor and report on business performance to ensure that Evans is financially sound.


HR

Our HR team at Evans are commercial operators with people at the heart of all that they do. Ensuring both our Head Office and Retail stores are great places to work; bringing on-board talent with the passion and commitment to drive the Evans Brand forward. They enable our people to grow, develop and reach their full potential as well as partnering with the business for strategic and organisational planning.

Marketing

Our Marketing team creates interest and awareness around our brand; communicating our message, engaging and recruiting customers through press, media, social media, email in-store and online channels.


Creative

Creative flair, an eye for fashion, strong commercial awareness and an understanding of the high street are essential to this department. With a responsibility for all aspects of retail design including window and in-store design and display, merchandising of product and promotions, graphic design, store design and the implementation of in-store product displays and mannequins, there’s no doubt this department is busy but with its ability to inspire and influence our customers, it’s an extremely fulfilling department to work in.

Store Managers

Delivering sales and KPI targets; by engaging your team, setting clear expectations and providing real-time feedback based on your observations, helping them to be the best they can be; by making shopping a joyful experience and building great customer relationships; by managing your stock package, store layout and standards; by demonstrating your commercial acumen, spotting opportunities, taking great decisions, and by making the best possible use of your resources and cost controls.

Area Managers

Our Area Managers have ownership and accountability for their stores and their store teams. As entrepreneurs they use every bit of their commercial acumen to leverage advantage through all trading formats and routes to market. As dynamic leaders they build high-performing teams, setting clear goals and expectations and developing mutually beneficial relationships across the business and beyond. As ambassadors of Evans they foster great customer relationships, are the go-to experts on Shape, and epitomise our mission by keeping the customer at the centre of everything we do.

Cluster Managers

Our Cluster Managers are responsible for two or more stores, managing their time and juggling priorities between sites. They lead and inspire our teams to delight our customers and to deliver our sales and KPI targets across the store and online. Building great customer relationships is fundamental to our success, as is engaging the store team, setting them clear expectations and providing real-time feedback, helping them to be the best they can be. We encourage our managers to make the role their own and show us what they can do!

Deputy Managers

Our Deputy Managers are key to making things happen. Practical and hands-on, working alongside the store team and the Store Manager, supporting the delivery of our sales and KPI targets, coaching the team to sell and outfit build, coordinating their activities and helping them to meet our expectations, keeping them updated and informed by communicating key business messages and all the while being commercial, setting high store standards and achieving visual excellence.

Team Leaders

Practical and hands-on, our Team Leaders work alongside the store team to support delivery of our sales and KPI targets, coaching the team to sell and outfit build and to coordinate their activities on the sales floor. Never losing site of the customer, they demonstrate a flexible and adaptable style to reflect changing priorities during the day and throughout the week, contributing to high store standards and the achievement of visual excellence.

Senior Assistants

Practical and hands-on, our Senior Assistants work alongside the store team to support delivery of our sales and KPI targets, coaching the team to sell and outfit build and to coordinate their activities on the sales floor. Never losing site of the customer, they demonstrate a flexible and adaptable style to reflect changing priorities during the day and throughout the week, contributing to high store standards and the achievement of visual excellence.

Sales Assistants

Our store teams are the face of Evans. They build great customer relationships, are passionate about making shopping a joyful experience by engaging customers about their body shape and how each have different clothing and styling requirements, creating an experience that is truly Evans.

Buying

Our vision is to deliver inspiring fashion, that fits and flatters our Evans customer. Our Buyers develop new ranges that reflect the key trends, all the while understanding how to deliver these for our 4 body shapes. We travel the world for product inspiration and sourcing, building long lasting relationships with our global partners.

We recruit our Buying teams at all levels, but focus on developing our own teams and providing a clear development path.
